Experimentation 1

We used Photoshop to create a practice layout as a class. We had created a page size which was 270  by 180, Then I used the ruler tool to create margins which were 8cm with a gap (gutter) of 1cm in the middle and then has a column of 8cm. I also had to crates a margin on the side of the page so the text doesn’t get sent right to the end making it hard to read for the tourists reading it. I also created a margin at the bottom and top of the page as the text won’t get cut to the bottom or top of the page. I also coloured the margin 2 different colours as a guide so I can see what texts suits what background. Than I had to turn the opacity down the player as you won’t be able to see the margin lines over bright colours.

Experimentation 2

I experimented with my work as I created a leaflet just to practice on what would look better and what wouldn’t. I noticed what having a leaflet looking like that would not grab the viewers’ attention as there is a lot of writing on it and not a lot of writing. I noticed that the more writing on a leaflet would cause people not to be interested in your leaflet. So I had made mine short and snappy. This would make more people interested in my work as it I have simple information but I give a good explanation with it. I created my experimentation leaflet on InDesign. This is due to the fact InDesign is a software always used by people who make leaflets and gives more things which you are able to add onto the blog. I had made the leaflet about drinks just to see what would look better and what layout would look better.
